Get a glimpse of Israeli DJ Skazi‘s signature style in this live performance of the song ‘Davay Davay‘ (3:23). The band’s unique punk rock-psytrance combo emerged from front man Asher Swissa‘s background in punk, where he began his musical career back in 1990 in a band called Sartan Hashad (Breast Cancer). Swissa says that once he was introduced to trance, « there was no turning back, » and now, he says, he hears other artists mimicking his style and calling it « Skazi trance. » Swissa was initially influenced by artists like Metallica and Prodigy, rather than trance or EDM, which is perhaps what gives him the breadth to blend genres so freely.
