Latrun
Située sur la route principale entre Tel-Aviv et Jérusalem, Latroun a été le théâtred’importantesbatailles militaires de 1948 à 1967, date à laquelle ce contrefort a été conquis par Israël lors de la guerre des Six Jours. Les lourdes pertes subies à Latroun sont aujourd’hui commémorées par KKL-JNF, avec l’entretien de la Forêt Houlda et de la « Maison Herzl », situées à proximité, ainsi qu’un sentier spécial dans le parc Ayalon qui retrace l’histoire des batailles.
