He hoped to win a medal in the 2016 summer Olympics in Rio, yet he placed in 5th. In the 2018 Abu Dhabi Grand Slam however, Muki won a gold medal, and for the first time in a Muslim country, the Israeli flag hung high and the national anthem, Hatikva, was played.
