Le Kibboutz Nir Am
Le kibboutz Nir Am a été fondé au début de 1943 dans le Néguev par des membres du mouvement de jeunesse Gordonia, originaires d’Europe de l’Est.
En 1946, le kibboutz Nir Hayim a changé de nom pour devenir Nir Am, et ainsi symboliser les champs cultivés de la nation.
Le Musée de l’eau et de la sécurité de Nir Am offre des informations sur le processus de colonisation, l’eau, l’agriculture et les batailles menées dans le Néguev. Le site a joué un rôle essentiel dans le renforcement des colonies du Néguev en fournissant un aqueduc aux colonies juives du Néguev. Cela a permis à ses communautés supplémentaires de se développer dans le Néguev et a convaincu les Nations Unies d’intégrer le Néguev dans les terres attribuées à l’État juif dans le Plan de partage.
KKL-JNF a développé une classe environnementale en plein air et un site de reconnaissance en l’honneur des donateurs australiens et de leur importante contribution au Néguev.
